Julio Ojeda passed away peacefully Satuday, March 1, 2014.

He was born July 12, 1946 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to Julio and Luz (nee Colon) Ojeda.

Julio worked as a custodian for the May Whitney School in Lake Zurich for many years and enjoyed interacting with the children and staff. He loved spending time with his cherished pal "Wiggles."

He is survived by his dear wife, Kathy Shanahan; daughters, Julie Ann Babicz, and Cindy Ojeda; by his granddaughters, Ariel Aaliyah Menendez and Hailey Nowak; his mother Luz; siblings, Julio Ojeda, Jose Maldonado, Aramis Melecio, Sonia Sizelove and Linda Figueroa; many other dear relatives and friends also survive.

Julio was preceded in death by his father and his siblings, Carmen Ojeda, Anibal M. Colon, Francisco and Lucy Melecio.

Visitation will be from 1 until the 3 p.m service, Sunday, March 9, 2014, at K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake, IL 60020

Interment will be private.
