Joyce Kalsch (nee Hallas) age 75, a resident of Pistakee Highlands McHenry since 1959, died on February 18, 2012. She was born on August 5, 1936 in Waukegan, IL to Jasper and Violet (nee Stolarik) Hallas.

She was formerly employed at Sears Dept Store in Fox Lake in Catalogue Sales. She was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg, and had enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, bowling, playing canasta and working on jigsaw puzzles with her family.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Marie (Gary) Enright of Elmhurst, Il; Eugene (Kathy) Kalsch of McHenry, Il; Phil (Angela) Kalsch of Texas; Steven (Wendy) Kalsch of Indiana; Theresa Kalsch of Wisconsin and her former Daughter-in-Law Akiko Sakai of Georgia; by her grandchildren Kevin and Brian Enright of Elmhurst; Felicia (Jason) Gurley of California; Theresa (Gabriel) Wisland of Woodstock; Constance (Josh Kerwin) Kalsch of DeKalb; Jessica (Petar) Gyuzelev of Bulgaria; Michael and Anthony Kalsch of McHenry; Timothy (Lindsay) Santiago of Minnesota; Tammy (Mike) Santiago-Ignasiak of Wisconsin; Tyler (Dana Bosch) Santiago of Wisconsin; William and Thomas Kalsch of Texas; Nathaniel, Matthew and Erik Kalsch of Indiana; her great-grandchildren Amara and Rin Santiago-Ignasiak, Lorelei Gyuzelev and Emma Gurley; her sister Arlene (Kenneth) Wells of Waukegan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Kalsch Jr., by her son George Kalsch III by her brother Jasper Hallas III, and by her parents.

Memorial visitation will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 4 until 8 PM at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 N. Church Street, Johnsburg, Il. 60051.
Please meet at the church on Thursday by 9:45 AM.
