Joseph "Joe" Richard Usalis 's Obituary

Joseph "Joe" Richard Usalis, 67, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his home in Harrison, TN. He was born on December 6, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Joseph R. Usalis, Sr. and Blanch Petak Usalis.
Joe grew up in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Grant High School in Ingleside, IL. He attended the University of Illinois, Carthage University and Lake Forest College and Northern Illinois University. He held a Master Degree in Business and a Masters Degree in Accounting. He began work for International Harvestor Division, Dresser, and Kamotsu. During his professional career he held several positions of leadership as Construction Division Controller and Project Manager. He recently retired after 45 years of dedicated service in 2012.
He was a member of St. Bedes Catholic Church in Ingleside, IL. He attended First Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN. He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, fast cars, his 2013 Grand Sport Corvette, traveling, movies especially westerns, as well as spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of River City Corvette Club where he served as board member, as well as a member of the Snowglobers Snowmobile club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Blanch Usalis.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Evelyn Wright Usalis of Harrison, TN; his son, Jason Usalis and fiancAC.e Valerie Vasquez of Spring Grove, IL; daughters; Brenda (Josh) Horn of Litchfield, IL; Jenny (Mike) Randall of Chicago, IL; also three grandchildren Noah Horn, Chloe Horn, and Sam Horn. Countless friends and neighbors. Also, his special companions; Dusty and River his beloved cats of sixteen years.
Visitation will be held Tuesday March 26, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and resume on Wed March 27, at 10 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd. Fox Lake. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
