John Lawrence Mcgue's Obituary

John Lawrence McGue, a long time resident of Pistakee Highlands, McHenry since 1962, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2013 in his home. He was born on March 6, 1909 in Chicago to Franklin Columbus and Annie Blanche (nee Haskin) McGue.
He was a Line Supervisor for many years for Admiral Manufacturing Co. in McHenry working with Radio and Television. He greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to watch the Chicago Cubs. John was also the proud grandson of two Civil War Veterans: Lawrence McGue on his father's side and John G. Haskin on his mother's side.
John will be deeply missed by his daughters, Patricia (Raymond) Klaus of Park Ridge; Evelyn McGue of Fox Lake; Nancy (Karl) Rose of Tennessee and Hazel (Abe) Ibrahim of Florida; his 17 grandchildren; his great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving Pearl Estelle McGue; his siblings and by his parents and grandparents.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 23, from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd. Fox Lake. Interment will be at St. Peter Cemetery, Volo.
