John L. Devine, a 23 year resident of McHenry, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2013. He was born on February 6, 1942 in Youngstown, OH to Derwent Charles and Dorothy (nee Camp) Devine.

He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and one of the founders of the Johnsburg Chapter. He was also very active with the Moose Lodge and his church.

John will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Margaret (nee Sandison); his daughters, Teresa (Tammy) Devine-Cowart, Bernadette (Danny) Brosky, Susan (John) Solovera; his grandchildren, Heather, Matthew, Nichole, John and Joshua; and by his great-granddaughters, August and Hailey.
He was preceded in death by his dear daughter, Maureen Devine and by his parents.
