A resident of Round Lake Beach for over 21 years formerly of Chicago died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 at Condell Medical Ctr. In Liberyville.

John was born March 24, 1933 to Hugo and Edna (nee Mccabe) Dahlstrom in Chicago, IL.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired employee of Genender Jewelry Importer Co. of Chicago and Wheeling. He was an avid reader, Cubs and Bears fan and loved bowling and spending time with his family.

He will be dearly missed by his wife: Shirley Dahlstrom nee Reiss;

His Children:
John T. Dahlstrom II of Illinois; and
Julia "Julie" (Cindy Siciliano) Dahlstrom of Chicago;

His grandchildren:
Sgt. William Joseph Haskins Jr. serving the US Army in Afghanistan;
Eric, Jeremy and Lauren Haskins;
Claire and John T. Dahlstrom III; and Timothy E. Dahlstrom

By nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Jerome Dahlstrom, his sisters: Elizabeth Jane and Marie Therese and his parents.

Visitations Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, Ltd., 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd, Fox Lake.

Dear friends and relatives are asked to go directly to St. Bede Catholic Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd, Ingleside 60041 for the Mass beginning at 11:00 A.M.

Burial will follow at the catholic cemetery.
