John E. Bosch, 89, of Fox Lake, formerly of Mount Prospect and Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016, at his home.

He was born December 26, 1926, in Chicago, to the late John Peter and Clara (nee Rehm) Bosch.

An alumnus of Lane Tech High School in Chicago, he went on to serve in the Navy during WWII, and became a model maker in the tool and die industry.

Survivors include his children, Colleen (the late Priscilla Mazur) Beck, Peg Macias, and Joe (Gail) Bosch;  grandchildren, John Bosch, Julie Berschel, Bridget (Kip Kaminscky) Schuler, Kelly Macias, Megan (Luis) Sanchez, and Marc (Francesca) Macias; eight great-grandsons, Daniel, Zachary, Dylan, Brenden, Noah, Tanner, Tyler, and Michael; siblings, Dolores (Jim) Cruse and Leo and Joe (Betty) Bosch; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen; son, Jack Bosch; and siblings, Gloria (Rich) Mueller and Bernie (Dee) Bosch.

The memorial visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the celebration of John's life at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 27, at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.
