John F. Bogdala, Jr., 77, of Fox Lake, formerly of Round Lake Beach, passed away September 21, 2015, at his home.

He was born August 18, 1938, in Chicago, to the late John F. and Adeline (nee Frank) Bogdala.

John retired from United Parcel Service (UPS) in Gurnee and was a Third Degree Knights of Columbus with Council 8214.  He enjoyed fishing and coffee with his buddies.

John will be dearly missed by his daughter, Marie (Paul) Evansky of Durham, NC; loving grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, and Haley Evansky; siblings, Timothy (Joan) Bogdala of White Lake, WI and Bernie Bergeron of Silver Lake, WI; several nieces and nephews; and by his special caregiver, companion, and friend, Jason Mark of Freedom Home in Highland Park.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou (nee Bennett) Bogdala; and sister, Kathy (Carl) Roy.

The family thanks NorthShore Hospice and the staff of Advocate Condell Cancer Center for the extraordinary care they provided John.

The memorial visitation will be Monday, June 20, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:30 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  Inurnment will be private in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
