The memorial visitation for John Michael Boerman, Sr., 67, of Fairfield Glade, TN, formerly of Antioch, will be held Friday, July 10, from 5-9 p.m., with memorial service at 7:30 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  Pastor Michael Ryczek will officiate.  Inurnment will be private.

Born May 27, 1947, in Chicago, to the late James K. and Helen (nee Seilheimer) Boerman, John passed away May 9, 2015.

John was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the US Army from 1966-1968.  He went on to become a laborer and bricklayer for P&S Masonry and a building engineer for Van Vlissengen in Lincolnshire.  He was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Local 20.

Survivors include his wife, Linda (nee Proctor) Boerman; children, Michele (Timothy) O'Connor, Beth (Ryan) Repta, John Michael (Erin) Boerman, Jr., and Mary Boerman; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and sister, JoAnn (Marshal) Christiansen.

John was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Geraldine Price and James Boerman, Jr.
