Mass of Christian Burial for Joan M. Clark (nee Quillinan) 86 of Johnsburg will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 Church St, Johnsburg. Father Michael Nacius will be the celebrant. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass at the Church.

Joan was born March 29, 1929 in Chicago and had been a resident of Johnsburg since the 1960s. She passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital in Ontonagon, Michigan. She had been living in Bruce Crossing, Michigan for the last two years. Burial will be in St. John The Baptist Cemetery Johnsburg.

Joan was a mother and homemaker while her children were young. As they got older, she worked at MarRay Costume Shop in McHenry and later at Pink Harrison's Resort on Pistakee Bay. Joan loved to entertain and always welcomed a houseful of family and friends. She served as an election judge for many years. Joan also was a very active member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church. She acted as lector, Eucharistic Minister, Minister of Care, parish coordinator for Meals on Wheels, founding member of St. Perigrin Cancer Support Group and was chairperson for their annual craft bazzar.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Melody) Clark of Johnsburg, Peg (Michael) Boro of Bruce Crossing, Michigan and John Clark of Bergland, Michigan; grandchildren, Michael David Boro, Jack Nelson Boro, Brandy (Doug) Bourey, and Dallas (Mandy) Rodiek; great grandchildren, Ethan and William Ford, Alex Bourey and Evey Rodiek.

She was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack"; Clark, her parents, Martin and Margaret (nee McGeever) Quillinan; and her brother, John "Jack" Quillinan.
