Jo Ann Armondo Thrun, 79, of Aurora, formerly of Barrington, passed away on her birthday, Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Edward Hospital Naperville.  She was born March 6, 1942, in Chicago, to the late Joseph and Marion (nee Ross) Armondo.

Jo Ann was a graduate of Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa.  She went on to teach at the Wauconda Elementary School and, with her late husband, owned The Village Green—a floral and antique shop in Barrington.

Survivors include her beloved daughter and caregiver, Kaytee Thrun of Aurora; brother, Larry (Kim) Armondo of Fox Lake; nephew, Joe Armondo of Gurnee and his daughters, Elle and Emily; and many cousins.

A celebration of Jo Ann's life will be announced for a future date.
