Janet W. Braschko, a long time resident of Johnsburg, passed away on January 14, 2013. She was born on March 4, 1949 in Heber, UT to Robert Willard and Thora (nee Sondregger) Welter.
She was a long time volunteer at James C. Bush Elementary, she loved being a teacher's assistant and being with children. She was very involved with her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Janet also loved planting flowers, doing crafts and her cats, Sassy and Simba.
Janet will be deeply missed by her dear husband of 39 years, David Braschko; her children, Ryan Braschko of Johnsburg; Ashley (Ryan) Wagner of Woodridge and Brittany (Michael) Jenkins of Fox Lake; her grandson, Bryson; her siblings, Mike (Carol), Dixie Welter and Jill (Ralph) Kuhlman. Many other loving relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 17, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd. Fox Lake. Funeral Service will be Fri., 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 315 McKinley Ave., Lake Villa. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery, McHenry.
