A longtime resident of Ingleside, IL Formerly of Chicago, IL died Friday March 26, 2010 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 5, 1922 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Dorothy (nee Murphy) Brell.
She was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church in Ingleside, Member of St. Bede's women's club, and had been employed for 42 years at Abbott Lab in North Chicago retiring in 1983. She enjoyed Abbott lab's activities: bowling, travel, golf groups, and camping. She was also an avid gardener and bird watcher.
She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews Joseph (Susan) Brell; Chris (Frank) Muller; Lisa (Don) Hatfield; Mary Ellen (Michael) Fick; Jim (Tina) Nehmer. Her Great Nieces and Nephews Sean, Jennifer, Amy Brell; Kary & Adam Muller; Jeremy (Mandy) Troy(Chantal) Hatfield; Brandt (Sarah) Breanna Fick; Justin, Sarah Nehmer and Teagen Caswell. Her great-great grand nieces & nephews Hannah, Jordon, Hayden and Alysha. Her dear cousin Rosemary Casey & Evelyn Murphy, Damien Ward.
Proceeded by her parents; her brother Joseph Brell; and her sister Maryann "Corky" Nehmer.
Visitations will be on Tuesday March 30, 2010 from 5-9 p.m. and again Wednesday March 31,2010 from 8:15-9 a.m. at the K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home 12 N. Pistakee Lk. Rd. Fox Lake, Il. 60020 A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday March 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bede Catholic Church 36455 N. Wilson Rd. Ingleside, Il. 60041. Burial at St. Bede Cemetery following mass. In lieu of flowers Masses or Memorials to Mercy home for boys and girls.
