James Frank Rosing

James Frank Rosing, age 80, a lifelong west lake county resident and a member of a Volo and Wooster Lake pioneer family died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Northern Illinois Medical Center in Mc Henry, IL.


He was born on May 12, 1928 in Fish Lake (Grant Township) to Frank and Mary Ellen (nee Freund) Rosing. He was


united in marriage to Helen Cream on July 20, 1963 at St. Gilberts Catholic Church in Grayslake, IL and was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church in Ingleside.


He had been employed as a die setter for Morton Manufacturing Co. until his retirement, and had enjoyed taking care of his family, his property and his vegetable garden. He was an athlete known for playing softball, biking and bowling who loved the outdoors, hunting and the Chicago Cubs.


He will be greatly missed by his wife, Helen (nee Cream) of Ingleside; one son, Michael Rosing of Libertyville; his brother Raymond Rosing of Ingleside; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and many friends.


He was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter, Elmer, Clarence "Chauncey", and Peter "Ralph" Rosing; by a sister, Marie Arnold; and by his son, Kenneth Rosing.


Visitations will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2008 with a 4:00 p.m. Prayer service with the Rev. Larry Rosing officiating, at the K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home 12 North Pistakee Lake Road Fox Lake, IL (The Chapel On The Lake, one block west of Route 12,
