James A. Jilly

James A. Jilly,70, passed away peacefully after  a long courageous battle with kidney cancer on November 3, 2014. Jim was an insurance agent for many years with an office in Round Lake. He also played saxophone with the bands Rhythm Kings and Embers; playing for many weddings in Lake County. In the past few years Jim played with the Lakes Community Swing Band in Antioch. He attended Grant High School and went on to Vandercook College of Music. Jim joined the Navy SeaBees and served in Vietnam in the 60s.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Margaret "Peg", nee Heick. They were united in marriage on June 15, 1966. His children, James Jr. (Iglika), John (Cindy) and Dawn Jilly; his grandchildren, Alecia, Jordan, Kyle, Sara and Ryan; his brother Al (June) Jilly, nieces and nephew, Thomas, Laurie and Lisa, John, Jennifer and Jessica also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Al & Neva Jilly.

Visitation will be November 5, from 4 until the 7:30 PM funeral service at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Interment will be private.
