Irene Hartmann, of Fox Lake, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2013. She was born on March 4, 1926 in Chicago to Frank and Theresa (nee Sidlo) Loncsar.
Kupkake- as she was known by her professional clown name- enjoyed bringing joy to others as a clown and had graced the cover of TV guide as the Grand Marshal of the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Irene will be deeply missed by her dear children, Nancy (Frank) Christina, Wayne (Connie) Hartmann, Dawn (Dave) McVicker and Felicia (Dan) Roark; her 10 grandchildren; her 12 great-grandchildren and by her brother, Joe (Arlene) Loncsar.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Elmer "Al" Hartmann; her brother Frank Loncsar and by her parents.
A private Celebration of Life will be held.
