Helge Børge Fruhstuck, 84, of McHenry, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020, at JourneyCare, Barrington. He was born August 23, 1936, in Copenhagen, Denmark, to the late Børge and Emiele (nee Hemmingsen) Fruhstuck.

Helge was a veteran of the United States Army, who served as a guard for the Berlin Wall.  He went on to have a 35-year career at International Harvester, retiring as Shop Foreman.  He enjoyed boating, tending to his koi pond, loved celebrating Christmas, and was known for his love of M&M's and handing out Nips to people he met.

Survivors include his wife, Tove (nee Schnell); daughter, Gail (Mark) Fruhstuck Morey; grandchildren, Matt Fruhstuck and Amanda Morey; former daughter-in-law, Cindy (nee Kennedy) Fruhstuck McDowall; and Glen's longtime-love, Teresa Bausch.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Glen Fruhstuck, on March 7, 2020.
