Harry E. Roden age 83
A longtime resident of Fox Lake, IL and former resident of Mundelein died Tuesday March 23rd at Centegra Hospital in McHenry, IL. He was born on March 18, 1927 in DeKalb, IL to Harry and Cecelia (nee West) Roden.
He was a former member of Santa Mario del Popolo, where he was an usher for many years, and a member of Knights of Columbus Cardinal Stritch CL. He was a former member of St. Mary's Fremont Center, and current member of St. Bede Catholic Church. He was also a Past-President of "Father and Son Bowling League" in Mundelein, and a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 295 Mundelein for many years. A Veteran of the Unites States Army, having served in World War II. He was retired from Kamatsu, (formerly International Harvester) in Libertyville, where he worked for over 30 years, retiring in 1989.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 56 years Joan nee Doll; their children Kenneth (Kathryn) Roden; Timothy (Alice) Roden; Paul (Sue) Roden; Ronald (Percy) Roden; and Peter (Bernadette) Roden; his beloved grandchildren Joseph & Carissa; Ken Jr; Peter Jr & Tabitha; Melissa; Jennifer & Paul Jr; Joshua & Johanna; and his great grandchildren Tyler; Xavier and Nalyja.
Visitation will be Friday, March 26th from 9-10 am at St. Bede Catholic Church 36455 N. Wilson Rd. Ingleside, Il. 60041. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 26th at 10 am at St Bede Catholic Church. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Fremont Center. Please omit flowers.
