Harry "Buzz" Heeres, 81, a longtime resident of Ingleside, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017, at JourneyCare, Barrington.

He was born October 14, 1935, in Evanston, to the late Harry and Eugenia (nee Anderson) Heeres, Sr.  He married Carol J. Hoeppner on September 2, 1961.

Harry served in the Army, was a member of Fox Lake American Legion post 703, worked for 35 years with ComEd, and enjoyed family travel.  His pride and joy was his 58 Chevy Impala.

In addition to his wife of 55 years, Carol; survivors include his children, Kimberly (Kenneth) Heeres-Frank, Kevin (Tracy) Heeres, and Kolleen Heeres; grandchildren, Trenton, Tyler, Dylan, and Desiree Frank, Brianna, Brandon, and Austin Heeres, and Cassandra and Courtney Hoven; siblings, Nancy (the late William) Nagel and Dana "Dan" (Ellen) Heeres; sister-in-law, Betty Heeres; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his brothers, Timothy and David Heeres.

The visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday, February 24, at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  There will also be visitation Saturday, February 25, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 25519 W. Illinois Route 134, Ingleside, from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in Grant Cemetery, Ingleside.
