Dr. Gordon L. Stastny, 87, formerly of Berwyn, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2013. He was born on April 22, 1926 in Berwyn, IL to Louis and Dr. Lillian (nee Kadlec) Stastny.

He was a nature lover who especially enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was an associate professor of dentistry for University of Illinois.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Dorothy (nee Dudacek) Stastny with whom he had recently celebrated his 65th anniversary; his dear children, Gail (Tom) Keefe and Gregg Stastny; his 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandfather; and his daughter-in-law Adele Ritzman.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29 from 4 PM until 8 PM at the K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake and resume on Friday from 12 noon until the committal service and interment at 1:30 p.m. at Mt. Auburn Cemetery and Funeral Home, 4101 S. Oak Park Ave., Stickney.
