Gordon David Spading, 87, of Ingleside, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at Hillcrest Nursing Center, Round Lake Beach, IL. He was born February 17, 1939, in Cincinnati, OH.

Gordon was raised in Pine Island, MN and was a 1957 graduate of Pine Island High School. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy, serving in an amphibious-construction battalion (Seabees) for four years.

After his honorable discharge, Gordon married Cleo Ann Goltz of Wabasha, MN, on June 18, 1966. He pursued higher education at Rockford Illinois Junior College and the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, earning a degree in industrial design. He went on to have a long, successful career at Zenith Corporation, Chicago, IL.

Gordon is survived by his loving wife Cleo (nee Goltz); sister, Diane Neisen; brothers, Don and Larry Spading; and beloved extended family; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Ruth (nee Hilla) Spading; stepmom, Hermine (nee Trehaar) Spading; and sister, Mary Gayle Spading.

No services are planned at this time. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
