Gloria A. Secor (nee McPherson), 94, a resident of the Round Lake area for 65 years, died Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Round Lake Beach.

Born in Chicago on July 7, 1925, to the late Frank and Bertha (nee Krull) McPherson, she married George Secor February 3, 1956, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Round Lake Park.

She attended Steinmetz High School in Chicago, and went on to work for Hartford Insurance Company in Chicago.  While attending her cousin's wedding, she met the love of her life, and future husband, George Secor.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, George; daughter, Linda; and granddaughter, Katie.

The visitation will be Tuesday, August 20, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10:30 a.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  The burial will follow in Grant Cemetery, Ingleside.
