Gerry H. Lorenz, 82, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024.  He was born in Evanston January 09, 1942, to the late Herman and Ada Lorenz.

Gerry was the dear brother of Jay (Jean) Lorenz; fond uncle of Bill (Jill) Lorenz; great-uncle of Robert Jay Lorenz, Christopher (Erica) Popik (and their children Hayden and Louden Popik) and Bill (Carrie) Sinks (and their children, Alex, Ally and April Sinks).

Gerry was a proud veteran, who was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class in 1969.  He was a lifelong antique collector and dealer who owned Whippletree Farm Antiques in downtown Wauconda for more than 50 years.  Gerry enjoyed farming, was an avid horseman, was a train and caboose enthusiast, and a member of Northfield Community Church, Northfield.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 12 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 3 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  Interment will be private.
