George Schrieder, 20 year resident of Round Lake Beach, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2012. He was born on June 7, 1933 in Chicago to William J. and Natalie (nee Hallis ) Schrieder.
He enjoyed old westerns and was a member of the NRA. He loved his dogs, Sparky, Ginger, Biscuit and Sophie.
George will be deeply missed by his dear children, Cindy Schrieder and Randy (Beverly) Schrieder; his grandson, William F. Schrieder; and by his sister Patricia (Mike) Morelli. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his siblings, William F. and Richard F. Schrieder and Lorraine Mallo.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 21, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and resume on Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until time of prayers at 9 a.m. at the K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Funeral Mass will be Friday, at 10 a.m. at St. Bede Catholic Church, 36455 N Wilson Rd. in Ingleside. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL.
