George is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elsie Laurell (Nordling), and his two sons, Nate Laurell (Kris McCoy) of Chicago, Illinois, and Chad Laurell of Salem Lakes, Wisconsin.

He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Wally Wilson; 10 nieces and nephews; 24 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 24 great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Laurell; his mother, Ruth Laurell (Berg); his sister, Pat Olsen; his brother-in-law, Rich Olsen; and his sister, Betty Wilson.

George was an operations manager for Wells Fargo and ADT. He was a Vietnam veteran and served as the committee chairman of Boy Scout Troop 85 in Fox Lake.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.

Arrangements by Hamsher Funerals & Cremations, Fox Lake.  Visitation Sunday, September 7, from 3-5 p.m., at RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. (Route 83), Lake Villa.  A private burial will follow at a later date.
