Gary J. Talaga, 65, of Ingleside, and longtime resident of the area, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital.  He was born to the late Walter and Regina (nee Mohan) Talaga on February 16, 1957, in Waukegan.

Gary was a bartender at The Kross Inn in Ingleside and previously worked in the streets and sanitation department for the Village of Fox Lake and was a former volunteer firefighter for the Fox Lake Fire Department.

He is survived by his son, Gary P. (Angie Gonzalez) Talaga; grandchildren, Damian Connard and Caitlyn Talaga; brothers, Gregg (Donna) and Rob Talaga; nephews, Nick Talaga and Justen Engleking; and by Gary P's mom, Joan Talaga.

A celebration of Gary's life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 22, 2023, at the Fox Lake Volunteer Fire Department Hall, 114 Washington St., Ingleside,.
