Gibson, Gary M. of Leisure Village in Fox Lake for 27 years, joined his Mom and Dad in Heaven on Wednesday, March 19, 2014. He was born on January 15, 1951, in Chicago to Bill and Jackie Gibson. He loved trains and old steam engines. He enjoyed talking about his yearly trip to the Sycamore Steam Show. his Mom, and his Dad and Grandparents, he was an avid Cubs fan. He had a favorite daytime Soap Opera. He also enjoyed watching the History Channel, the Discovery Channel and old slap stick comedy. His favorite TV characters were the Three Stooges. He loved to laugh. He had hoped to win the lottery and be able to buy his own unit in Leisure Village. He enjoyed the company of the family kitty, Anni. He is survived by his sisters, Mary (Bill) Hanner of Marengo and Carol (Jack) Clavey of Barrington; nephews, Rob (Hollie) Bishop of Woodstock and Kevin Clavey of Barrington; niece, Samantha Clavey of Barrington; great-niece and great-nephew, Allison and Adam; uncle, Jack Gibson of Arizona; cousins, Karen (Bob) May of Gurnee; John (Malinda) Gibson of South Carolina; second cousins, Becky and Kevin May of Gurnee and Danny, Trevor, Colin and Kurt Gibson, all of South Carolina; and, of course, Anni the kitty. He was preceded in death by his parents, his aunts, Elaine Gibson and Rita Gibson. Service and interment will be held privately by the family.
