Fred W. Holland, 80, of Grayslake, passed away Monday January 8, 2018, at his home.

He was born November 10, 1937, in Chicago, to the late William and Loretta (nee Beisse).  An electrical engineer, he was a member IBEW Local 134 for 16 years.  Fred was an Army veteran who served in France from 1955-1959.  He went on to become a Staff Sergeant who worked in Oklahoma City at Tinker Air Force Base, Egypt, and many other countries for 23 years.

Survivors include his children, Michael (Debra) Holland, Kevin Holland, Sherlynn Costa, Chris Holland, Kristan Taylor, and Kathryn Holland; many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; and by siblings Nancy Navalta and Bill (Sheila) Holland.

A celebration of Fred's life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 14, at the American Legion Post 703 Hall, 703 N. US Hwy 12, Fox Lake, IL 60020.
