Frank Fencl

Frank Fencl, 73, of Fox Lake for more than 35 years, formerly of Oak Park/Berwyn, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Springs of Crystal Lake. He was born on April 29, 1940 in Chicago, to Frank and Irene (nee Janura) Fencl.

Frank was a three sport high school star, played professional baseball for Kansas City Athletics and Chicago White Sox. He attended the University of Illinois, enjoyed fishing, boating and tennis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Judy Fencl.

He is survived by his dear children, Frank Allen (Dawn Altamore) Fencl, and Mary (James) Loconsole; his grandchildren, Anthony, Lauren, Stephanie, Billy and Hannah.

A memorial gathering will be held begin 11:30 a.m., Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Diamond Harbor Condominiums on Howard Court in Fox Lake, with a luncheon to follow at 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Moretti's, 164 S U.S Highway 12, Fox Lake, IL
