Eugene Bartoszek, 87, of Fox Lake, and recently of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on Friday, December 10th, 2010. Eugene was born on May 21st, 1923 to Adalbert and Francis Bartoszek.

Eugene was a member of the Lakes Region American Legion Post 703 of Fox Lake as well as a member of the Fox Lake V.F.W. and the "40 and 8" club. He was also a member of the Illinois Brotherhood of Electrical Union Workers union Local 134 of Chicago. Eugene was a former 37 year retired P.B.X. installer for the IL Bell Telephone Company, having worked in the Chicagoland area. Eugene was also a veteran, having served in W.W.II in the U.S. Navy.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife Rosemarie Bartoszek, with whom he was united in marriage with on February 11th, 1950 in Chicago, IL.

Eugene will be missed by his two sons: Larry (Laura) Bartoszek of Aurora, IL; Robert (Cindy) Bartoszek of West Palm Beach, FL; by his daughter Diane (Walter) Foreman of Fox Lake, IL; and by his ten grandchildren (three by Larry, three by Robert, and four by Diane) and four great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 17th from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home (the Chapel on the Lake), 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake. Everyone is invited to go directly to St. Bede Catholic Church, 36455 North Wilson Road, Ingleside, IL at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 18th for a funeral mass. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights, IL.
