Elaine J. Cole of Johnsburg passed away peacefully on May 22, 2012. She was born on February 7, 1931 in Chicago to Raymond and Elsie (nee Kleinfeldt) Richter.
She was a longtime member of Women of the McHenry Moose Lodge, where she held many offices as well as a member of Shepherd of the Hills Church in McHenry. She volunteered a lot of herself in caring for people. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed baking and doing arts & crafts.
Elaine will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Herman Cole, with whom she united in marriage in 1980 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in McHenry; her children, Debbie (Bert) Wiley; her grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) Szamlewski, Sharon (Joseph) Spencer, Matthew (significant other Natalie) Mullin and Michelle Mullin; great- grandchildren Madisyn, Branden, Nicholas, Trevor, Lucas, Madyson and Paityn; her brother Ken (Johanna) Richter. Many nieces, nephews and dear relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Michael Raymond Mullin her grandson, Mark Raymond Mullin and James Mullin.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 25, 2012, from 9 AM until the 11 AM funeral service at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 404 N. Green St., McHenry. Interment will be at McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock.
