Dorothy R. Jones (nee Gorman) age 77

Longtime resident of Ingleside passed away Friday September 18, 2009 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Gurnee. She was born on November 23, 1931 to John and Barbara (nee Mohr) Gorman. She was untied in marriage to the love of her life, Fred Jones on April 26, 1952. They enjoyed 51 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2003. Dorothy was a member at St. Bede Catholic Church, recently enjoyed participating in Bernie On The Go senior trips and being a member of the Crochet Club at Sunrise Living. She took great pride in caring for her cherished family and home.

She will be greatly missed by her children: Donna (Mark) Schaar of Lake Villa, Susan (Robert) Needles of Gurnee, Mike (Lori) Jones of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren: Julie (John Hart) Schaar of Traverse City, MI, Megan Schaar of Round Lake Beach, Roberta (Bob) Schultz of Kenosha, WI, Melissa (Brandon) Watters of Round Lake Beach, Jackie Needles of Gurnee, Erin and Casey Jones of Bucyrus of Kansas; great grandchildren: Rylee and Katie Schultz of Kenosha, WI, Evelyn Hart of Traverse City, MI; her siblings: Richard (Marion)Gorman, and Dolores Jura of Bristol, WI.

She was preceded in death by her husband on July 27, 2003, her parents, and her brothers, William, Daniel, John, and sister Loretta.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 24, 9:30 a.m. at K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake, IL 60020 (The Chapel on the Lake) until leaving at 10:15 a.m. for an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Bede Catholic Church 36455 N.
