Dorothy Nadine Harrison, 91, of Park City, formerly of Fox Lake, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at the Pavilion of Waukegan.  She was born February 25, 1930, in Fort Yates, ND, and a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

Growing up in rural North Dakota, Dorothy learned the value of hard work, having to milk 40 cows daily.  She went on to become a nurse and worked at St. Theresa, Victory, and McHenry hospitals.

Dorothy enjoyed fishing, bird watching, walking, and eating pancakes.

Survivors include her brother, Robert Barnes; children: Donna (Craig) Emery, Charles (Toby) Harrison and Michael (Yesika) Harrison; daughter-in-law, Felicia Harrison; grandchildren: Chuck (fiancée Jennifer) Harrison, Jaime Harrison, Michael (Annette) Remle, Matthew (Rebecca) Remle, Rebecca (fiancé Mike) Remle, Austin and Hunter Harrison, Cori Flowers and Danae; great-grandchildren: Kaylie, Sam, Trevor, Reese, Adalyn, Audrey, Chayton, Cante, and Lennon.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Harrison on July 5, 1973; sons, Robert James and William Gerald Harrison; parents, William White and Alice Harris West; and many brothers and sisters.

Services will be private.
