Dorothy Nowak Hansen, 80, of Bradenton, FL formerly of Spring Grove, IL passed away on June 10, 2010 peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. Born September 7, 1929 in Chicago to her parents: Charles & Eva (nee Kalis) Nowak. She married Robert G. Hansen on April 19th, 1952 and was his loving wife for 58 years. They resided in Spring Grove, IL where they lovingly raised their 4 children. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, knitting, handwork, cross stitching, embroidery, vegetable gardening and canning. What she loved most was spending time with loving family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert, and their 4 children: Sandra Rednour, Sharon (Nelson) Suarez, Gerald (Linda) Hansen, and Sheila (Dan) Kosior; 10 grandchildren: Leigh Ann (Paul) Veneziano, Michael (Leslie) VanEvery, Robert J. Hansen, Nicholas Guffey, Dagny Hansen, Patrick (Erin) VanEvery, Christopher Hansen, Chance VanEvery, Uriah Kosior, and Eureeka Kosior; and 6 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 14th 2010, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd, Fox Lake (the Chapel on the Lake) where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 15th. Pastor Chuck Vitel will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Spring Grove, IL.
