Diane J. Kofler (nee Courtois) age 70

A longtime resident of Johnsburg, Il. died Thursday Oct. 1, 2009 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 17, 1939 in Chicago, Il. to Alfred and Ellen (nee Sykes) Courtois and was united in Marriage to William Kofler Jr. on Oct. 10, 1959 in Chicago. Diane was a former church choir leader at the Mount Hope United Methodist Church, a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She was formerly employed by Johnsburg School District 12 as secretary to Principals' Rob Gough and Charles Dill and was currently employed by the district as Sub Scheduler.

She and her husband had enjoyed camping up north and spending time with family and friends.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of almost 50 years, William "Bill" Kofler of Johnsburg,

Daughters: Lynn Marie Kofler of Woodstock, Lori Jeanne Fleming of Mc Henry, Cheri Ellen (Jeffrey) Ertl of Racine Wi., and Nancy Carol (William) Kilian of Antioch, Il. by her grandchildren Meghan and Kelsey Helms of Johnsburg, Joshua and Alyssa Ertl of Racine, Wi., and Nicolas Kilian of Antioch.

Visitations will be on Monday Oct. 5, 2009 from 3 - 8:00 P.M. at the K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home 12 N. Pistakee Lk. Rd. Fox Lake, Il. 60020 (The Chapel On The Lake) www.kkhamsherfuneralhome.com

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday evening at the funeral home at 6:00 P.M. with the Rev. Nathan Anderson officiating.

Interment will be private.
