With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Dennis Gimpert, who left us on August 29, 2025. He was the center of our family - a devoted husband, a proud father of four, and a constant source of love, laughter, and strength.

Born on July 31, 1948 in Granite City, Illinois, Dennis was more than a husband; he was a true partner and best friend to his loving wife Theresa Gimpert of fifty-five (55) years. Together, they built a life filled with warmth, adventure, and unconditional love. As a father, he poured his heart into providing for his family, guiding his children - Matthew Gimpert (Jennifer) of Peachtree City, Benjamin Gimpert (Kate Elswit) of San Francisco, Adam Gimpert (Bridgette) of Palatine, Alexis Rosa (Nicholas) of Chicago, and five grandchildren: Elise, Luke, Amelia, Felix, and Elijah - with patience, humor, and a steady hand. His greatest joy was being present for them - in big milestones and in everyday moments.

Dennis will be remembered for his kind heart, quick wit, and steady presence. Whether it was through his work, his friendships, or the countless small acts of love he offered every day, he touched the lives of many and left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and cared for.

Outside of his family, Dennis enjoyed flying, music and wine. He found fulfillment in tinkering in the garage, playing his guitar on the lanai, cooking his infamous jambalaya, and boating, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever.

A gathering to celebrate Dennis's life will be held in Marco Island, Florida in the upcoming months. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and honor the incredible man he was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Lustgarten Foundation .

Though his time with us ended too soon, Dennis's love, laughter, and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
