David A. Vickery, age 66
A member of a Pioneer farming family of Mundelein and longtime resident of Spring Grove, Il passed away at home Sat., April 4, 2009 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was born Dec. 12, 1942 in Libertyville to Ralph and Viola (nee Dubcke) Vickery. He was a graduate of Libertyville High School with the Class of 1961. On August 14, 1965 he married Joahn "Jonnie" nee Lohrke at Santa Maria Popolo Catholic Church in Mundelein.

In 1977 he and his dear friend Raymond Shisler started their company "R & D Tool, Inc." located in Lake Villa.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church . His family was the joy of his life and he also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, golfing, hunting, boating and water skiing on the Chain O Lakes.

Survivors include his wife of over 43 years, Joahn; his three children:
Jon of Richmond, Jennifer (Peter) Walker of Johnsburg and Jason of Spring Grove;
His grandsons: Damian, Stephen, Devin, & Nicholas all of Johnsburg;
His sisters: Arlene (Donald) Haun of Antioch;
Darlene (Gerald) Meyer of Spring Grove;
His mother in law: Ardyth Lohrke of Mundelein;
His brother-in-laws: David, Ralph and Scott Lohrke.
Many nieces, nephews and close friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Viola, a grandson: Triston and his father-in-law: Ralph H. Lohrke.

Visitations will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, April 6, 2009 at K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake, Fox Lake 60020
On Tuesday all are asked to go directly to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg 60051 for the Mass of the Resurrection beginning at 11:00 A.M. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made for Rev. Thomas Prashobh, OIC, Superior, Bethany Ashram Keeala, Thiruvalla, India 689101 or for memorials in his name to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
