Charles Alan Mikrut, 57, peacefully passed away January 27, 2022 at his home in Fox Lake, Illinois. Charles was born on January 10, 1965 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Charley W. and Masae L. Mikrut. He graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School in 1983 where he was a member of the ice hockey team. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and tending to his cats: Colonel Sanders, Philster, and Cujo. He is survived by his mother Masae "Lucy" Mikrut, his brother William (Stacy) Mikrut and family members Marcus, Darcy, Tina Mikrut and numerous cousins.

There will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, we know he would want his friends and loved ones to get out on the lake to fish. Whenever you are out there and catch a fish, he will be there. At a later date his remains will be buried at the Pottstown Cemetery in Peoria, Illinois. Memorial donations can be made to the Fox Lake Animal Hospital, 161 S US Hwy. 12, Fox Lake, IL 60020.
