Caroline "Dolly" Jonas

Caroline “Dolly” Jonas, 96, of Ingleside, peacefully passed away Monday, March 30, 2026, at Lakeland Healthcare Center, Elkhorn, WI. She was born April 22, 1929, in St. Paul, MN.

Caroline worked as a payroll administrator at Woolworth’s in Fox Lake for over 25 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking strawberry rhubarb pies, and polka dancing every weekend (especially in Fort Atkinson, Jefferson, and Ixonia, WI). She was an active member of Our Lady of the Lakes-St. Bede Church.

Caroline is survived by her children, Barbara (Bill) Pardue, Tom Jonas, Janet (Thomas) Kulig, and Wayne (Lisa) Jonas; grandchildren, Ryan (Julie) Pardue, Stephanie (Paul) Schultz, Nicholas (Sarah) Pardue, Shannon (Corey) Spitzer, Jillian (Ryan) McKenna, and Heather (Lincoln) Buchanan, and Annie (Scott) Richards and James Kulig; 12 great-grandchildren; and many loving extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Harry” Jonas; her mother, Anna Barnes (nee Baier); and brothers, George, James, and Robert Barnes.

Memorial visitation Friday, May 15, from 5-8 p.m., with a memorial service at 7 p.m., at RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. (Route 83), Lake Villa. Inurnment will be Saturday, May 16, 10 a.m., St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Fremont Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, appreciated.
