Carol Wilson, 76, of Huntley, IL, formerly of Fox Lake, IL, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2020, at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington, IL. She was born on January 29, 1944, in Chicago, IL to the late Arthur and Rose (nee Opyt) Burmeister. On August 5, 1961, she married Val "Pat" Wilson, whom passed away in 2015. Carol was a longtime member of St. Bede Catholic Church, and member and Past President of the Fox Lake Lion's Club. She enjoyed ceramics, knitting, and doing crafts. Carol is survived by her loving family; her daughters, Michelle (Tony) Lavelle and Christine nee Keel (Scott) Herbold; grandchildren, Nick and Tony Lavelle, and Alanna Rose Sullivan; and her fur grandbabies, Jax and Pistachio.  In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Carrie Rebecca Wilson-Sullivan in 2002. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2020, from 3-8 pm at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake, IL. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at 11 am (visitation from 10-11 am prior to services) at the funeral home.
