Carol A. Ganzer, 68, of Johnsburg, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at Presence Holy Family Medical Center, Des Plaines.

She was born October 12, 1947, in Waukegan, to the late Bernard and Georgia (nee Lubeck) Walter.

Carol was a dedicated, special-education teacher with S.E.D.O.L. for over 40 years.  She was a modest, patient, and loving person who put others' needs ahead of her own.  Most of all, Carol was very dedicated and devoted to her family.

Survivors include her children, Christine (Brent) Farka, Thomas Ganzer, Andrew (Christine) Ganzer, and Caryn (John) Garcia; and grandchildren, Ethan and Jason Farka, Kayla and James Ganzer, and Johnny Garcia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, August H. Ganzer; and parents, Bernard and Georgia Walter.

The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 21, at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  Inurnment will follow in East Fox Lake Cemetery.
