Carol A. Jayko

Carol A. Jayko, a long time resident of McHenry since 1967, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2014. She was born on December 15, 1942 in Chicago to Carl and Elizabeth (nee Bodnar) Piekut.  Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing. Carol was a secretary at Terry's Sportswear for many years in Chicago and she also worked at Prem in Johnsburg. She always kept busy doing anything and everything for her kids and grandkids.

Carol will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 53 years, Gregory D. Jayko; her children, Debbie (Paul) Klein of McHenry and Jeff (Kathy) Jayko of Johnsburg; grandchildren, Colton Klein, Ashley and Adam Jayko; and by her sisters, Charlotte Vanover and Barbara George.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial visitation will be Sat., Jan. 3, 2015 from 10 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 Church St., Johnsburg. Inurnment in church cemetery to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carol's name to, American Diabetes Association, 55 East Monroe Street Unit #3420 Chicago 60603 would be appreciated.
