It is with deep sadness the Burr Family announces the death of our fighter, Carl "Rick" Burr.  Rick passed away peacefully at home surrounded in love after his 17-year battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer.

Rick is survived by Sharon, his wife of 51 years; his son, Jody (Marci) Burr; daughter, Jamie (Jeff) Martin; mother-in-law, Lois Walk; step-mother, Bobbie Burr; sisters, Pam (Terry) Frank and Beth (Dan) Roder; and brother, Brad (Dana) Stittgen.  Rick was the proud papa to his grandchildren, Chase, Payton, Cooper, and Carter.

Rick had a love for family, friends, fishing, boating, and Da' Bears!

He is preceded in death by his father, Don Burr.

We invite friends and family to the celebration of Rick's life on Sunday, September 25, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., at Maravela's Banquets, 4 Washington St., Ingleside.  We will honor Rick and his "no frills" ways.  Come casual and feel free to wear your Chicago Bears fan wear.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at UAMS.
