Betty Formentini (nee Scaglione and Villa), 98, of Fox Lake, peacefully passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at her home. She was born April 24, 1928, in Chicago, to the late Albert and Mildred (nee Rochetti) Scaglione.

Betty enjoyed cruises, playing slots at casinos, and card games (especially pinochle). Above all, Betty was a loving caregiver who enjoyed taking care of her family.

Survivors include her sons, Ronald (the late Carol) and George Villa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Debbie (Fred) Mersman; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Villa; children, Anthony, Joseph, and Donald “Corky” Villa; and several siblings.

A celebration of Betty’s life is pending for Wednesday, September 9, at Joyful Spirit Church, 36325 N. Maple Ave., Ingleside, IL 60041. PLEAS CHECK BACK FOR TIME. Private Interment.
