Barbara "Ba" M. Corcoran

Barbara "Ba" M. Corcoran, a longtime resident of Fox Lake since 1955, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2015. She was born May 16, 1942 in Chicago to Leonard and Winona (nee Hagen) Schultz.

Ba loved camping, cooking, watching old movies and shopping. Ba took care of everyone and was a mother to all, she especially loved to be with her family and her cats Bonnie and Loner.

Ba is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Tommy Corcoran, Sr. with whom she was united in marriage on June 27, 1964 in Chicago; her children, Tom "Cowboy" Jr., Barbara "Cissie", Brian, Kelly (fiancée Sheri Martino) Corcoran and Wendy (Richard) Cleven; grandchildren, Kevin, Sean, Kyle, Ryan Corcoran and TJ Cleven; great-granddaughter, Zoey Corcoran; her sisters, Pat (Dave) Gilbert and Jackie (Jack) Shoblom. Many loving nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother Alan Schultz.

Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 9, from 4 – 8 PM at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 10 AM at St. Bede Catholic Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd., Ingleside. All are invited to go directly to church. Interment at Grant Cemetery to follow.
