Arthur Raymond Hunt

Arthur Raymond Hunt of Fox Lake for 40 years, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2014.  He was born on June 23, 1926 in Chicago to Arthur Raymond and Marion (nee Ciechon) Hunt.  He was united in marriage on April 15, 1958 in Chicago to Dolores, nee Knipp. They celebrated 46 years of marriage until her death in 2005.

Arthur proudly served in the United States Navy; he was also an avid boater and fisherman. Arthur had an attractive personality with an unconditional love for people. He was very funny and had a laugh that could fill a room. Arthur also enjoyed cooking, especially for his family- where he was famous for his chicken soup.

He is survived by his loving children, Sandra (the late Tom) Meemken of St. Paul, Minn., Shirley (the late Ronald)  Mack of Ingleside, Donald (Mary) Horner of St. Paul and Arthur Hunt of Fox Lake; his grandchildren, Philip and Richard DesJardins, Lorissa Buck, Trina, Nicole and Brian Kutinac, and Jason, Joel and Jennifer Horner; and 11 great-grandchildren and by his siblings Drizzille Della Bionca, Donald Hunt.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores, his brother Norman Hunt, and his parents.

Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 13, from 4 – 8 PM and resume on Friday from 8:30 until time of prayers at 9 AM at K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd. in Fox Lake. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10 AM at St. Bede Catholic Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd., Ingleside. Interment will be at Grant Cemetery, Ingleside.
