Anne K. Vokac

Mrs. Anne Vokac 93, of Willow Springs, Missouri, former longtime resident of Ingleside, Ill; Born on February 8, 1916 in Chicago , Illinois to John and Anna (Bubik) Kalwas, passed away quietly on Friday, February 20, 2009, while at home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Vokac grew up in the Chicago area where she lived until moving to Willow Springs , Missouri 3 years ago. She was a member of the American Legion Post 703 in Fox Lake , Illinois , and the Homemakers Extension of Lake County. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, gardening, and bird watching. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Mrs. Vokac was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph Vokac in 1986; a son John Charles Vokac; and a sister Clara Ocenasek.

She is survived by her children Thomas Vokac and his wife Lucy of Naperville, Illinois; James W. Vokac and his wife Judy of Willow Springs, Missouri; and Barbara Nyden of Willow Springs , Missouri . Mrs. Vokac is further survived by her three granddaughters Elizabeth Vokac of Chicago , Illinois ; Jeanette Nyden and her husband Timothy Lohraff of Seattle , Washington ; and KathLaine Snyder and her husband Larry of Fairfield, Ohio. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends further survive.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, located at 12 North Pistakee Lake Road, (1 block West of Rte. 12,
