Ann D. Van Stone

Ann D. Van Stone, a long time resident of Lake County, passed away on June 28, 2014. She was born in Chicago on January 9, 1946 to Gordon and June (nee Ostapa) Cates.

Ann will be remembered by her candid nature and for her compassionate heart, revealed in her love of animals, the outdoors and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was also known for being outspoken.

Ann will be deeply missed by her dear children, Jeff, Greg and Cherie Van Stone and by her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Taylor, James, Angelica and Paige and her sister Nancy (Wayne) Schmidt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Ann Marie; her grandson, Dylan; her sisters, Gale Arnold and Sue Miller.

Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, July 9 from 6 until 8 PM at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake, IL 60020.
