Alyce Winifred Lavelle, a 43 year resident of Mettawa, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 20, 1907 in Chicago to Frank and Antonia (nee Neidzwiedzka) Soniskoski.

She was an avid dress shopper up until the end as well as a buyer and manager for Lane Bryant and a member of the Lake Bluff Women's Club, a Girl Scout Leader and PTA president.

Alyce will be deeply missed by her dear daughter, Jeanine (William) McCole,
Granddaughter, Catherine (Robert) Boettcher, great-granddaughter, Jessica (Erik) Boettcher-Husby and by her niece Karen Riley.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Lavelle in 1952, her parents and her brothers and sisters.
Service and interment are private.

The family would like to thank everyone at Paradise Park for the wonderful care and service they provided.
