Alice Sanderson, 83, of Spring Grove passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2013. She was born February 21, 1930 in Vicksburg, MI to William & Agnes (nee Nutting) Lowery. She was cherished by her foster mother, Ellen.

Alice was a treasured bartender for over 35 years. She loved sewing, making quilts, cooking, gardening, canning and especially enjoyed camping and vacationing. She really liked frogs and loved her dogs Lacy & Shiloh. She was a member of the Moose International for 41 years and an honorary member of Boys Town.

She is survived by her adored children, Rex (Gayle) Sanderson, and Jimmy Sanderson; and by her cherished grandchildren, Jamie and Christina Sanderson; and by many other dear relatives and friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Gene, and son Timmy Sanderson.

A visitation will be held, Sunday, August 4, from 4 until the service time of 7:30 p.m. at K. K. Hamsher funeral Home 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road in Fox Lake. Interment will be private.
